REST

Today, in the area where I live, we are being impacted by a significant snow storm and the word "blizzard" has been used by many weather reports. This storm will also cause many people to stay home to avoid highways and dangerous driving conditions.
Both of these happenings can greatly impact our homes to include health, family, employment and other family and work situations.
Emotions from situations like this, can include fear, abandonment, isolation, depression, anxiety, panic, etc.
Currently, we have access to our 'world' with social media, internet, telecommunications and other services. Sometimes, depending on the source, information can be distorted of misunderstood by those listening/watching which can increase emotions of isolation, abandonment and hopelessness.
With every event, happening, and/or occurrence, one can "choose" to "see" the "good and/or bad", the "positive and/or negative", the "light and/or darkness", even in situations that produce sadness and tragedy.
Hopefully, with the current virus and snow storm, many have prepared to be in a form of isolation, by stocking up on needed supplies to include others that are helping those who need additional resources to prepare.
As I sit and watch the snow fall, look at the many books on my coffee table that I desire to read with time, I am "grateful" for a day of 'REST'. Yes, I could choose to be fearful that I am missing the traditional ways to access my job and that I am missing social gatherings to which I look forward. However, I am "blessed" to "see" new ways to communicate and have access with my work to include communications with my friends and social groups!! I am also grateful that when I am 'typically driving' all day, today I am working from home with REST!
I am more excited and blessed by the idea, that out of a tragic situation (virus) and weather, I have been given "more", "more", "more", and not less.
"There is something GOOD in every Situation"!
"Which set of lenses are you using to view your current situation??
